Gravitation
Gravitation, 2020, Acrylic and Gesso and Brush Bristles on Canvas, 24”x36”.
This is a palimpsest process painting. I started off by cutting out words from articles about gravitation waves, then turned them into a poem, then painted over them in layer after layer until slowly a texture began to form as I added extra medium and my brush began to fall apart. I finalized the piece by sanding away parts of it.
