Depth. Structure. Creative Practice. Becoming.

NATALIE DI DIO

You are standing at the entrance to two distinct bodies of work.

One is regulated clinical practice.
One is creative practice.

They are separate in function and ethics.
They are unified in integrity.

You are invited to enter where you seek.
Enter with intention.

THRESHOLD

Studio Di Dio is my disciplined creative laboratory.

This is where visual art, writing, and performance live.

I have been creating for as long as I can remember: painting, drawing, writing poetry and stories, world-building, map-making, character creation, singing, and musical exploration. Creativity is not separate from my life — it is how I metabolize experience and return to center.

My visual art lives in the space between abstraction and realism — where structure meets surrender. I am drawn to psychological landscapes, emotional tension, mythic undertones, and the complexity of the human form.

I work in watercolor, oil, water-soluble colored pencil, graphite, acrylic, chalk pastels, ink, and digital media. I move intentionally between mediums, allowing material to shape meaning.

I return to:

• The human body
• Emotional depth and mental health
• Texture and pattern
• Narrative and symbol
• Chaos and integration
• Tension between control and release

My “abstract pull” technique explores that tension — when something begins to change but does not dissolve.

This space is non-clinical. It is devoted entirely to art and creative exploration.

The Feral Hymn is my independent writing practice, published on Substack.

This space holds poetry, essays, and reflective work centered on myth, embodiment, return, and interior life. It is creative writing — not therapy or psychological advice — and exists as a separate artistic offering.

Poetry & Writing

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor currently practicing at Ada County Drug Court Treatment Center.

My clinical work is trauma-informed, relational, and structured. I integrate evidence-based approaches with nervous system awareness (polyvagal theory), attachment theory, and feminist frameworks.

I work with adults navigating:

• Anxiety and nervous system dysregulation
• Trauma and chronic stress
• Attachment wounds
• Identity transitions
• Relational instability
• Life restructuring
• Addiction

My approach is steady, ethical, and grounded in evidence, lived humanity, and professional standards.

Private practice is in development.

Therapy is not about fixing you. It is about integration — restoring safety in the body, clarity in relationships, and alignment with your values.

LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR
Clinical Practice

I am rooted in Boise, Idaho — shaped by river, desert, and mountain.

I value depth, embodiment, and disciplined creativity.

In my personal life, I am devoted to movement and community — music, dance, strength training, hiking, reading fantasy, playing games, and building meaningful relationships.

Across both art and clinical work, my core commitments remain the same:

Integrity. Depth. Structure. Becoming.

I believe life should be lived fully — with depth, laughter, artistry, and presence.

I am deeply creative, relational, and embodied. I value depth over surface, meaning over performance, and connection over image.
